Stage 1: Installing the OSV application
Please download and install the latest version of the Octonus Stereo Viewer from the link in the note block above. You can use the installer settings as shown in the screenshots below:
Stage 2: Installing the 3D display configuration

If you have already done this stage for the previous version of the OSV application, then you do not need to do it again, because all settings will be saved for the new version. You can just skip this step and go to the next one |
Please download and install all necessary 3D Global stereo display configuration files. Simply find your monitor's serial number on the sticker on the back side of the display and select the appropriate configuration from the folder:

To avoid freezes when playing large movies, it is recommended to download the patch with unlimited cache for movie frames: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0e5up399h3wx5bjcy6792/VideoLoader.msalib?rlkey=9vdylsqd33ysokahuyfqhhz12&dl=0 and replace the existing file in the Octonus Stereo Viewer installation folder with it.
Stage 4: Setting parameters in the OSV for correct stereo

Launch the installed Octonus Stereo Viewer application and open any stereo test, for example, the Depth Test: menu Help > Stereo Tests > Depth Test

- Create folder "C:\temp\stereo". Download and copy the file osv.ps1 into the folder "C:\temp\stereo" from here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/r8ve8febn0oaa0mra3buv/osv.ps1?rlkey=6uy1shqwf0t3vm26s1u8vs9gb&dl=0
- This file is configured to run OSV 4.8.22.73 installed into the "C:\Program Files\OctoNus Software\OctoNus Stereo Viewer 4.8.22.73". If it was installed into another directory, open osv.ps1 and change the path to your version of the Octonus Stereo Viewer.exe:
Info This script uses cache to save all earlier downloaded movies, so all next openings of the movie after the first one will be made from the cache. Information about clearing the cache is in the Clear all downloaded files from cache section below.
Also this script launches auto-fit on the stereo-monitor
- This file is configured to run OSV 4.8.22.73 installed into the "C:\Program Files\OctoNus Software\OctoNus Stereo Viewer 4.8.22.73". If it was installed into another directory, open osv.ps1 and change the path to your version of the Octonus Stereo Viewer.exe:
Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator. Sequentially execute following commands:

Stage 6: Test Cutwise stereo movie opening
Step by step guide
- Run the OctoNus Stereo Viewer application. Change its window size to any non-maximized:
- LogIn to Cutwise with user: Lexus
- Go to diamond page: https://cutwise.com/diamond/49192?sp=51
- Click the OSV Stereo View button in player:

The OSV program will start with the selected video and start playing stereo on the autostereoscopic display.
