One of the key scenarios for Vibox Reco 4P is backlight scanning for 3D model registration. To perform the scan, follow these steps:
Open the lightbox and place the diamond (glued to the holder).
Turn on the Rear lighting.
Search for the Project Title in Cutwise corresponding to the diamond. Before doing this, ensure you are logged in with the same user account used to upload the project from HPC.
Select the sawing solution.
Choose the 4P Cutter to perform test marking and, subsequently, the sawing.
Set the glue line (for more details, see the Setting glue line section).
Click the Scan button.
After this, the object scanning will begin. During the scan, the progress (in percentage) will be displayed, along with thumbnails of some captured images.
To cancel the scan, click Cancel to return to camera mode.
If the scan completes successfully, click Upload to Cutwise to initiate the 3D model registration process on the Cutwise server.
After 30 seconds to one minute, the Cutwise server will respond, and we will see the model registration status in the program, along with the displayed linear registration errors.
Additionally, by clicking the View report in browser button, you can check the model registration quality report.
Additionally, by opening the Cutwise Agent program, you can find a link to the archive containing the generated files for marking and sawing the stones.
Typically, Cutwise Agent is configured to automatically download this archive to a specified folder—in this case, you can find the archive there.
The described use case of the program is demonstrated in the video below:
