Raw data from cameras or from files need to be converted to 8 bit before display. This can be done by means of the 'RAW Conversion' tool on the 'Processing' tab (the right program panel).
Conversion parameters
- Gamma - gamma curve power. Usual value is 2.2.
- Black level - number of bits considered black in the source data
- Bits - total number of valuable bits in the source data
