When scanning, the Camera View Mode can be used. In this mode, the Scene displays the image observed by the camera in real time.

Accessing Camera View Mode

The Camera View Mode is available only when these conditions are met:

  1. hardware is connected
  2. the Scan & Build mode is active

Otherwise, the mode button will not be displayed.

To access Camera View Mode:

  1. To use the Scan & Build mode, on the top panel, click .
  2. On the right panel, click Scanner. The Scene goes to the Camera View Mode.

Adjusting Green Frame

The Green Frame is used during scanning and denotes the viewing field limits of the scanner.

If during scanning the stone goes outside any of the green frame borders, the scanning stops, the error message is displayed:

Apply one of the suggested solutions:

  • offset stone
  • change green frame position
  • clean holder

...then repeat scanning.

The green frame is displayed:

  • In the Camera View Mode (can be adjusted in this mode)
  • In the Photos View (only viewing)

To adjust the green frame borders:

  1. Go to Camera View Mode.
  2. In the Scene, drag with your mouse one or more green lines representing the green frame.

The system should be configured properly to display and thus allow adjusting the green frame. To enable the feature:

  • Set Settings > Internal configuration > Shadow process > Contour building > Enabled = 1
Note that Internal configuration is available only if specific conditions are met.

The default value is "1" (the feature is enabled).

Important

Note that disabling the green frame just hides it and thus prevents editing - the green frame itself continues working with the specified boundaries.
