1. Introduction

MIC is the maximum circle that may be inscribed (MIC) in the girdle outline along with the section of the model in the circle's plane:

MIC is drawn in red color
indicates MIC center

2. Calculation

  1. For table plane:
  2. Minimum (farest from table plane) and maximum (nearest to table plane) girdle points are detected and search range determined:
  3.  In that search range number of planes (parallel to table plane) are drawn.
  4. In each plane  the maximum circle that may be inscribed is built.
  5. And from that circle's one with maximum radius is selected. That will be MIC.
