Opposite Slope Sum Half (symmetry) is the deviation of half-sums of slope angles of the opposite bezel facets. As all symmetry parameters, it is an estimate of a deviation from perfect symmetry, and should be zero for an ideal stone.
Slope angles of all bezel facets, i.e., angles between these facets and the table facet, are calculated. The half-sums of these angles for the opposite facets are considered. The Opposite Slope Sum Half is defined as the difference between the maximum and minimum of these 4 values:
Opposite Slope Sum Half = dev( (a1+a5)/2, (a2+a6)/2, (a3+a7)/2, (a4+a8)/2 )
