Facet Twist

This parameter is applicable to the following cuts: Round brilliant, Marquise, Oval, Pear, Heart.

Facet Twist is the absolute deviation of azimuths of corresponding crown and pavilion facets.

Azimuth vectors of all bezel facets and pavilion facets are calculated, and the absolute differences of azimuths of the corresponding crown and pavilion facets are considered.

Star Facet Twist Symmetry

This parameter is applicable only to Round brilliant cut.

Star Facet Twist is the signed deviation of azimuth of a star facet from the bisector of the two adjacent bezel facets.

Azimuth vectors of all star facets and bezel facets are calculated. For each star facet its azimuth is compared to the bisector of azimuth values of the two adjacent bezel facets, and the signed difference is considered.

Reporting

The reported values of Star Facet Twist Symmetry include: 8 independent measurements for individual facets, summary parameters (Avg, Min, Max, Dev), and the overall absolute maximum, referred to in the reports as Star Facet Twist.
