Note! You can use this tool on DMServer application version 0.6 and only after the alignment for the both cameras.

GUI Description

  1. Real-time stereo video;
  2. Image View for measurements by means of 2D-Ruler Tool (side-by-side left and right frames in mono). You can open up to three snapshots when selecting the appropriate split view mode.
  3. Panel for closed snapshots. For opening of the snapshot, please drag the preview and drop it on the needed Image View. For deleting a snapshot, please use appropriate context menu item of the preview.
  4. Views Toolbar:

1. Create New View – use this button for creating a new snapshot for measurements. The saved snapshot will be open at an empty Image View, if it’s available, or will be added to the panel for closed snapshots;
2 – 5. Split View Modes:

2. Only stereo video;
3. Stereo video + one viewport for measurements;
4. Stereo video + two viewports for measurements;
5. Stereo video + three viewports for measurements;

Using the 2D-Ruler Tool

Note! You can make measurements only on the mono image view (not real-time stereo video).

If the image (or stereo video frame) does not fit fully in the viewing area, you can scroll it by movement of the mouse with the Right Button pressed. Use Left Mouse Button for add new point (only two points on the segment). For moving a point horizontally or/and vertically, please use the mouse movement while holding the Left Button. The points always are created on the focal plane of the current image:

For moving it in third dimension (focus), please hover your mouse cursor over the point (at the left or right frame) and rotate the Mouse Wheel. For deleting the point click on it by Left Mouse Button with Alt modifier.

After setting the segment you can move the object and observe the motion of points on the live stereo video. If the alignment of the microscope is well done, the points will move quite in sync with the video.
